Fr. Thaddaeus Lancton, MIC
Formator of Marian Seminarians, Steubenville, Ohio
Father Thaddaeus Lancton was born as the youngest son to a Catholic family of five on February 22, 1987, in Houston, TX. He had two childhood dreams: becoming an Air Force pilot and an astronaut, and becoming a priest. Having lost grandparents and parents during his youth, he learned from a young age to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.After attending Strake Jesuit for high school, Fr. Thaddaeus entered the Jesuit novitiate for one year in 2005. After leaving, he entered the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception in 2007.
He has obtained a B.A. in philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville, a master’s in psychology from the Divine Mercy University, and a doctorate in sacred theology from the John Paul II Catholic University in Lublin, Poland.
He is the author of Stepping on the Serpent: The Journey of Trust with Mary (Marian Press, 2017), and Shining in Spotless Splendor: Consecration to the Immaculate Conception (Marian Press, 2023).
Since Fr. Thaddaeus has learned and speaks various languages, he has lived and worked in the Philippines, Poland, Bolivia, and Argentina. He is currently assigned to the Marian house in Steubenville, Ohio as formator for the seminarians.
Father Thaddaeus is inspired by the mystery of the Immaculate Conception to live and proclaim the free gift of the mercy of God, which accompanies, protects, and guides us from conception until death.
