The United Nations Celebrates Fatima

The United Nations on May 12 marked the 100th anniversary of Our Lady's apparitions in Fatima, Portugal, with a conference titled, "The Centenary of Fatima and the Enduring Relevance of Its Message of Peace."

Sponsored by the Portuguese delegation at the UN and the Holy See's Permanent Observer Mission to the United Nations, the event drew a packed crowd of about 600 people. The Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and its custodian, Marian Helper Judy Studer, were also present.
