Father Dan Cambra, MIC, shares about St. John Bosco (1815-1888) - a merciful presence for the poor and great educator whose most effective tool of the trade was love. His feast day is Jan. 31. 

A patron saint of teachers, St. John Bosco had a theory of education that rejected corporal punishment. Instead, he successfully advocated putting students in environments removed from the likelihood of committing sin.
