Linen Ironing Attendant

The Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, are looking for a Linen Ironing Attendant. This position requires someone who is an organized self-starter knowledgeable in the proper ironing of altar linens and other textiles.

The principle duties of the role include, yet are not limited to:

• Ironing, and folding altar linens and related fabrics.
• Inspect linens for staining or damage and treating fabric appropriately.
• Ensure a clean work environment at all times.
• Report any laundry equipment in need of repair to Maintenance.
• Availability: 8–16 hours per week

Please note this is an in-person role, remote work is not available for this position.

The right candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent with prior experience in a similar role. Must be familiar with proper ironing techniques. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds unaided. Good organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills desired.
