Blessed George, preparing the way for Divine Mercy

Rewriting the Marian Constitutions, Bl. George included the spreading of devotion to the Sacred Heart, which, because of its similarity to Divine Mercy, prepared the Congregation to embrace and spread that message as well.

Blessed George Matulaitis (1871-1927) was the "Renovator" of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, who envisioned religious working together with the laity for the good of the Church.
