A Christmas Poem

The creche at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy.

Father Andy Davy, MIC, composed the following poem for Christmas.

In Christmastide the bells are nigh
The hearth is warm and able
The frosted chill is stayed and still
By manger in the stable.

When death’s dark gloom seems sure to loom,
And hope is lost to gaze
Let cry of child upon that wood
Free soul of its mournful glaze.

The comedy becomes tragedy
In the Incarnation of our Lord
Yet broken tomb changes history
And greets an Easter morn.

But for now we see the little Babe
We ponder with shepherd’s eye
We sing like Angel hosts of Heav’n
We give like those three Magi.

A blessed and Holy Christmas to you and your loved ones from the Marian Fathers!

Marian vocations are thriving! On Ordination Weekend, May 8 and 9, 2026, at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, we welcomed three new Deacons and one new Priest for the Marian Congregation.

Mary is the Mother of the Church, of all the members of the Body of Christ — and she is mighty to help us. We honor her on the Monday after Pentecost, May 25.

These prayers, one for each day of the week, are today a living embodiment of the message of hope and peace which Our Lady gave the world at Fatima.
