The more we invite our Guardian Angels (feast day: Oct. 2) to act in our lives, the more freedom they have to maneuver.

One of the most highly recognizable saints of the modern age, St. Thérèse of Lisieux (feast day: Oct. 1), died at 24 yet is a Doctor of the Church, sharing the designation with only four other women in Church history: Sts. Hildegard of Bingen, Catherine of Siena, and Teresa of Avila.

On his feast day (Sept. 30), many we remember the instruction of St. Jerome, Doctor of the Church, to “Read the divine Scriptures constantly; never let the sacred volume fall from your hand.”
