'Just Trying to Get Through This Day in One Piece'

An extraordinary yearning fills my soul. I am surprised that it does not separate the soul from the body. I desire God; I want to become immersed in Him. I understand that I am in a terrible exile; my soul aspires for God with all its might. O you inhabitants of my fatherland, be mindful of this exile!
- Diary of St. Faustina, 807

Lord, St. Faustina is a great saint in heaven, and I'm just trying to get through this day in one piece. There are so many things I have to do that it can be hard to focus on Advent and Your coming at Christmas. Right here and now, grant me the grace, through the intercession of St. Faustina, of a longing for You this Advent. Come Lord Jesus, awaken in my heart a deep desire for You. Saint Faustina, pray for me.
