Watch LIVE at 9:00 a.m. ET Monday!

On Monday, August 12 we invite your prayers for two men who will be professing perpetual, or final, vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience with our Marian Community: Brother Stephen Camara, MIC and Father Fidele Malanga, MIC.

For Brother Stephen, a seminarian, the next step will be, God willing, ordination to the diaconate and then priesthood.

Father Fidele is a diocesan priest from Africa who has joined the Marian Fathers.

Both will be invested with the white habit, a reminder of the charism of the Marian Fathers to promote the mystery of the Immaculate Conception, inspiring themselves and others to grow in purity and imitate the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Mass at 9:00 a.m. ET is by invitation only, but you can watch online here.

Please remember Br. Stephen and Fr. Fidele, and all the Marian Fathers, in your prayers!

Long before his official declaration as Patron of the Universal Church by Pope Pius IX in 1870, Canada was already consecrated to St. Joseph (feast day: March 19), the spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and foster-father of Jesus.

He is author of the earliest recorded systematic teachings of the Catholic faith. He suffered persecution and banishment for adherence to the truths of the faith. Ultimately, he was declared a Doctor of the Church for his exemplary writings explaining the tenets of the faith. He is St. Cyril of Jerusalem (315-386 A.D.). whose feast we celebrate on March 18.

“Every priest who preaches the Word of God in times of persecution,” Blessed Elías del Socorro Nieves said, “has no escape; he will die like Jesus on the Cross, with arms tied.” His feast day is March 10.
