Of Sin and Cyberbullying

Father Andy Davy, MIC, pastor of St. Mary Parish in Plano, Illinois, also writes poetry. Here, we share some of his work and his commentaries on that work in the latest installment of a weekly series.
Cyber Bully
Shadow Wights
Hide my eyes
Stop my ears
Feeding me
Course of fears,

Devours my spark
Betrays light to dark
with a kiss,
Knifing my friend in the park
with a word,

Faceless Text
Feeds my victim
The same fee...

That first tragically consumed me.

This unsettling poem speaks to the destruction caused by cyber bullying, in which everyone loses, and perpetuates the deadly cycle.
